Objective: Develop the Book of Apps for Statistics Teaching

    

• Designing the user interface and using CSS/HTML and javascript to style the apps

• Coding in R language to build the apps and dashboards

• Maintaining the apps and adapting them to mobile phone

• Presenting in the showcase and exhibition at the Penn State Statistics Department

• Conducting experiments during class sessions, building surveys, collecting data, and analyzing the feedback

 

The first stage of the research - building apps and website, was basically finished during 2017 summer, but more debugging, testing, and improving is still going on. Feedback from students and professors will be collected in 2018. We are looking forward to publishing it in the future!

I designed and coded the website and some of the apps within it. Serving as the group leader of 10 students in the team, I helped the communication between teams, made plans, kept everyone on schedule, and coordinated the group work.
